Christmas Dreamers Markets

Yesterday was the Christmas Dreamers Market. In spite of bridge works, road closures and temperatures nearing 40C, it was another wonderful market day.

It was encouraging to see how many braved the difficult conditions to come visit. As always, so good to catch up with returning customers and spend time chatting to new customers who were glad they have discovered a local, quality artisans markets.
From the time we arrived when we were able to touch base and catch up with other stall holders, till the final farewells of the day, the atmosphere was amazing (even if we were all rather wilting in the heat............) The staff at Riverside Theatre ensured the behind the scenes 'stuff' went smoothly and kept a supply of icy water on hand so we could top up our water bottles and customers could grab a refreshing drink.

I love Dreamers Markets but this one has to be my favourite with all the Christmas items making their appearance.

During the day Danielle, the editor of Forever Country Threads popped by again and showed us the wonderful spread she had put together in the current magazine (Vol 15 No 9)after her visit in August.

Yesterday my stall neighbours were the creative Hillary from Hiddy Concepts and Marie from Gallerie Marie. We had a great time chatting between customers and encouraging each other in our creative pursuits as well as work/life balance. Markets are a chance not only to promote & sell our products but be inspired by others who share a passion for handmade.

As always, Sam's stall, Four Red Hens, looked amazing and her new items proved very popular, she even worked on crocheting more of her soap saver covers during the day so many were sold.

Here are a couple of pictures of other stalls as well. Jewellery by Sabine (and yes there may have been another purchase from Sabine yesterday) and My Name Is Kiki with her cute creations for the pets in your life.

I was very thankful that Marilyn, a wonderful friend came for the afternoon to help out, especially with packing up at the end of the day!!!!

The first market for 2015 will be on Saturday March 21st. Why not follow the Dreamers Facebook page for updates leading up to each market.
Stay tuned for that one, I already have an idea for a special item for Easter...........
Finally, a couple more photos - my peg bags were one of my best 'non Christmas' sellers of the day.
